Why is my GE refrigerator not cooling?

Condenser coils clogged

Door alarm sensor stuck
GE has door sensors that stop the cooling cycle when the fridge detects an open door. A stuck or corroded sensor triggers that shutdown with the doors fully closed. Wipe the sensor at the top of the door frame with a damp cloth. If cooling restores, the sensor was the issue.
Motherboard or main control board failed
The GE main control board, called the motherboard on Profile models, handles cooling logic, fans, and compressor commands. A failed board causes erratic temperatures or no cooling at all. On some Profile models it is a special-order part, so you get the price in writing before we order it.
Compressor failure
End of service life on older GE units, typically past 10 to 12 years. Tampa heat accelerates wear.
