Terms of Service for Perfect Appliance Repair Tampa

Before we touch your appliance, you'll know what the repair costs. These terms cover how we work when a diagnosis is required, how warranties apply, what payment we accept, and what happens if something needs to be resolved. Read through once, so there are no surprises on either side. By scheduling service with Perfect Appliance Repair Tampa, you agree to the terms below.

Who we are

Perfect Appliance Repair Tampa LLC is a local, owner-operated appliance repair company serving Tampa Bay: Tampa, South Tampa, Wesley Chapel, Zephyrhills, Dade City, and the surrounding areas of Pasco and Hillsborough counties.

Refrigerator repair is our main specialty. We also repair freezers, ice makers, wine coolers, undercounter refrigerators, Sub-Zero and built-in refrigeration, commercial refrigeration equipment, washers, dryers, ovens, ranges, cooktops, and dishwashers when the repair makes sense. We do not service HVAC or plumbing systems, small countertop appliances, or appliances that are unsafe, inaccessible, or otherwise outside the scope of work we accept.

Scheduling service

You can schedule by phone, text, our website booking form, our Google Business Profile booking option, or another approved channel. The fastest way to reach us is by phone or text at (813) 522-0014.

When you schedule, please provide your name, phone number, service address or city, appliance type and brand, the model number if you can find it, and a short description of the problem. We set appointment times based on location, urgency, technician availability, appliance type, and parts. We do our best to offer same-day or next-day service in many Tampa Bay areas, especially for refrigerator and cooling problems, but same-day service isn’t guaranteed unless we confirm it directly.

Adult authorization

A person at least 18 years old must be present or available to authorize the diagnostic and any repair. Whoever authorizes the work is responsible for payment unless another arrangement is approved before the visit.

Tenants, property managers, family members, employees, or business representatives may authorize work if they have permission from the owner or responsible party. We aren’t responsible for disputes between the person authorizing service and the property owner, landlord, employer, or other decision-maker.

Diagnostic fee and repair approval

We charge a $69 diagnostic fee, and it is applied in full to your repair if you approve the work. The diagnostic lets us inspect the appliance, test the likely failure points, explain what we find, and give you repair options before any work begins.

We don’t give blind quotes without a diagnosis. A fridge that isn’t cooling, a washer that won’t drain, or an oven that won’t heat can each have several different causes at very different prices, and no honest technician should pretend otherwise. After the diagnosis, we explain the problem and give an estimate, and work doesn’t start until you approve it. If the scope changes mid-repair, we stop and explain the new information before continuing — no additional work happens without your approval.

If the appliance can be reasonably repaired and you choose not to approve the repair, the $69 diagnostic fee remains due for the work performed.

If the appliance can’t be reasonably repaired

If we determine the appliance can’t be reasonably repaired, you don’t pay for labor, parts, a service call, or a trip fee. This applies when the appliance isn’t repairable in a practical way, when required parts aren’t available, when the repair would be unsafe, or when the repair doesn’t make financial sense given the condition of the appliance.

Repair estimates

Estimates are based on the diagnosis performed at the time of service and may include labor, parts, materials, return-visit time, and any special-order requirements. An estimate is valid for a reasonable period unless stated otherwise; parts pricing, availability, manufacturer backorders, discontinued parts, shipping delays, or supplier changes may affect the final cost if the repair isn’t approved promptly.

We don’t install customer-supplied parts unless we agree to it before the repair, and customer-supplied parts are not covered by our parts warranty.

Parts and special orders

Some repairs can be finished on the first visit if the part is on hand. Others need a special-order part: in that case, we explain the expected timeline, any deposit requirement, and the return-visit plan before ordering.

For standard repairs, we normally don’t require a deposit unless the part is expensive, special-order, non-returnable, discontinued, or bought specifically for your appliance. Special-order parts may be non-refundable once ordered if the supplier doesn’t allow returns.

Payment

Payment is due when the repair is completed unless another written arrangement is approved before the work begins. We accept common payment methods, including cash, major credit and debit cards, Zelle, Apple Pay, Venmo, and PayPal, where available. We don’t accept delayed personal checks unless approved in advance.

For business accounts, property managers, restaurants, and commercial customers, payment terms may be handled by a separate written agreement. If payment isn’t completed at the time of service, additional collection steps may apply.

Warranty on repairs

We stand behind completed repair work. Standard repairs include a 90-day labor warranty unless a different term is stated on the invoice. Sub-Zero, built-in, sealed-system, compressor, and other premium refrigeration repairs may include extended coverage — typically up to 12 months on parts and labor — when stated in writing on the estimate or invoice. Parts warranty depends on the part, supplier, manufacturer, and repair type. The written invoice controls the exact warranty terms for each repair.

If the same serviced part or repair-related issue fails inside the warranty window, contact us as soon as possible. We’ll inspect the appliance and, if the failure is covered, make it right according to the warranty terms. There’s no second diagnostic fee for a covered warranty return related to the same repair.

What the warranty does not cover

The warranty doesn’t cover unrelated new failures, misuse, neglect, abuse, pest or water damage, power surges, lightning, flooding, rust or corrosion, airflow blocked after the repair, improper installation by others, customer-supplied parts, tampering, modification, or work done by another company after our repair.

It also doesn’t cover food loss, laundry loss, business interruption, lost income, missed work, or other indirect or consequential damages. If there’s a question about whether a problem is related to our repair, we inspect first and explain what we find.

Repair-versus-replace honesty

Not every appliance should be repaired. If it’s too old, parts are discontinued, the cabinet or sealed system is badly damaged, or the repair cost doesn’t make financial sense, we’ll tell you. Our job isn’t to sell the biggest repair — it’s to give you the right answer.

Customer responsibilities

To let us work safely and efficiently, please provide safe access to the appliance, a clear work area, electricity, water supply if needed, and permission to move or access the appliance when required. Where possible, remove fragile items, food, laundry, personal belongings, and cleaning products from the work area before the appointment.

If an appliance is built in, stacked, blocked, installed in a tight cabinet, connected unsafely, or otherwise hard to reach, additional labor or a second person may be required. We’ll explain that before proceeding.

Safety and right to refuse service

We may refuse or stop service if the work area or appliance is unsafe, if the appliance has been modified dangerously, if there’s active water or electrical danger, if reasonable safety steps are refused, or if the situation creates a risk to the technician, customer, property, or equipment. We may also refuse service in cases of abusive behavior, threats, harassment, unsafe animals, or refusal to follow agreed payment or authorization terms.

Commercial and business customers

Commercial refrigeration work may involve restaurants, cafés, offices, property managers, convenience stores, and small businesses, and may require additional diagnostic time, special parts, return visits, or separate written estimates.

We aren’t responsible for lost inventory, food loss, business interruption, lost sales, health-department issues, employee downtime, or other indirect business losses caused by equipment failure. We respond as quickly as we can and repair the equipment properly, but the customer remains responsible for monitoring temperatures, protecting inventory, and making business decisions while equipment is down.

Liability

We’re responsible for direct damage caused by our negligence during the service visit, subject to the limits allowed by law and any applicable insurance coverage. We aren’t responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden damage, prior improper repairs, unsafe installation, manufacturer defects, discontinued parts, unrelated failures, or damage caused by normal appliance failure.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Perfect Appliance Repair Tampa is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses — including spoiled food or groceries, water damage from pre-existing leaks or appliance failure, business interruption, lost income, missed work, or replacement of the appliance — unless required by law.

Communication

We may communicate with customers by phone, text, email, website form, Google Business Profile, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Nextdoor, Facebook, Instagram, BBB, Yelp, or other channels. By contacting us or scheduling service, you agree that we may respond using the contact information you provided.

We welcome feedback, reviews, suggestions, and service concerns through any of these channels. Every customer deserves to be heard, respected, and treated fairly — when something isn’t right, we do our best to make it right.

Reviews and public feedback

Customers may leave reviews on Google, BBB, Yelp, Nextdoor, Facebook, Instagram, or other public platforms. We may respond publicly in a professional way, and we don’t publish private customer details unless the customer already included them or they’re necessary to respond appropriately. If you have a service concern, we encourage you to contact us directly first so we can understand and try to resolve it.

Disputes and good-faith resolution

Most questions can be settled with a direct call or text. If you have a billing question, a workmanship concern, a warranty request, or a complaint, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll review it in good faith, inspect the repair when appropriate, and explain the next step.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida unless another written agreement applies. Nothing in these terms is intended to take away customer rights that can’t legally be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The terms in effect at the time of scheduling or service generally apply to that service unless a different written agreement is made.
