How fast can you actually get here? +
Faster than anywhere else we serve — the shop is in Zephyrhills. Call before 2 PM and same-day is the norm, often the same morning. After 2 PM, you get next-day plus your choice of $30 off or a free surge protector installed with the repair. We answer Monday through Saturday.
My ice cubes are getting smaller and now there's barely any ice. Why? +
Classic Zephyrhills call. Mineral scale from the local water narrows the inlet valve and fill tube until the ice maker starves. We clear or replace the blocked component and tell you honestly whether a filter change schedule will keep it from coming back.
We just got back for the season and the fridge smells terrible. Is it ruined? +
Usually not. A unit that sat through a summer — or a power outage — typically needs cleaning, a drain service, and verification, not replacement. Don't buy anything until it's been tested.
Is it worth fixing the fridge in a manufactured home, or should I just replace it? +
Usually worth fixing. The common park-home failures — gaskets, relays, clogged condensers — are among the least expensive repairs we do, and a repaired unit that fits the alcove beats a new one that doesn't. When replacement really is the smarter move, we say so, and you're only out the $69.
My LG is clicking and running warm. Is that the compressor from the lawsuits? +
Possibly — the pattern is documented. But the click is often a failed start relay, a much smaller job, and many LG compressors are still under extended parts warranty, which we help you verify before recommending any paid work. See LG compressor repair.
Do you offer a senior discount? +
Yes — 10% off your repair at age 65 and up, applied automatically when you approve the work. It stacks with the diagnostic credit, which always applies in full.
What if my refrigerator can't be fixed? +
You pay nothing — no labor, no parts, no service call charge, no trip fee. We'll also tell you what's worth buying next, because we see which brands end up back on the truck.
Do you service the restaurants and stores on Gall Boulevard? +
Yes — reach-ins, prep tables, glass-door merchandisers, and ice machines, usually within hours because we're already in town. Same no-fix-no-pay promise as residential.
Do you repair washers, dryers, dishwashers and ovens too, or just refrigerators? +
All of them. Refrigeration is the specialty, but a good share of our Zephyrhills calls are washers that stopped draining, dryers that stopped heating, and dishwashers leaving water in the bottom. Same flat diagnostic, same written estimate, same warranty terms.
Is there a trip fee or service call charge on top of the $69? +
No. The $69 diagnostic is the only up-front charge, and it's applied in full to the repair you approve. No trip fee, no zone fee, no fuel surcharge — you're in our hometown.
Are you licensed and insured? +
Yes — licensed, insured, and EPA 608 certified for sealed-system refrigerant work. Documentation available on request, and details are on our license and insurance page.
Can I schedule service before we arrive for the season? +
Yes, and it's the smart way to do it. Book before you fly down and we'll have the refrigerator cleaned, tested, and verified cold before the car pulls in — instead of discovering a warm kitchen on night one.
My washer fills and drains, but the drum never turns. Is the motor dead? +
Less often than people fear. On modern direct-drive machines a quiet hum with no agitation or spin usually means the inverter board that drives the motor has failed, not the motor itself. We measure the motor windings first — if resistance is in spec on every leg, the board is the culprit, and that's a far smaller bill than a motor. Exactly this happened on a GE washer on Gall Boulevard; see the documented jobs above.
LG replaced a compressor but the technician also reprogrammed the board. Was that necessary? +
Yes. LG's current replacement compressors are a newer generation than the ones that failed, and they run on different drive parameters. LG's own service procedure requires updating the main control board to match — install the new compressor without it and you're queueing up the next failure. It's part of the job, not an upsell.
My dryer thumps and squeals but still dries. Can it wait? +
That sound is the cheap stage. Thumping and squealing are worn drum rollers and a tired idler pulley — and they're what chews through the belt. Handled now, it's one visit and one teardown: belt, idler and rollers replaced as a set, because they wear together. Wait, and you get the same job plus a dead dryer and a laundry pile.
The compressor in our commercial reach-in died. Is it covered by the manufacturer? +
Often, yes — commercial compressors typically carry long factory warranties (Turbo Air backs M3-series compressors for five years or more, depending on model year). We read the data plate, verify coverage before quoting, and get the box holding temperature the same day where possible — because inventory that sits above 41°F for four hours has to be thrown out.
What actually kills refrigerator compressors around here? +
Heat and dirt, mostly. A condenser matted with dust or pet hair pushes head pressure up until the compressor cooks; a unit in a Florida garage fights the same battle all summer. It's why we check the condenser before condemning any compressor — and why a yearly coil cleaning is the cheapest insurance a fridge can get. That's exactly what our 7-point inspection above is for.
