Why is my GE washer not draining?

- Check the lid lock (top-load). Confirm the lid closes fully and latches. If a lid alarm sounds, the lock has failed.
- Inspect drain pump impeller. Removing the bottom panel exposes the pump. Look for visible debris like coins or hair pins jamming the impeller blades.
- Power cycle. Unplug for 5 minutes, plug back in. Resets the electronic control on Profile models.
- Force a drain cycle. Select drain or spin-only and start. Listen for pump activation.
